IT Learning Portfolio icon

Learn techniques for working with complex formal documents such as reports and theses, and for assembling multiple chapters into a book

This workshop follows after "Good practice with document design", and helps you plan and manage your large structured documents. You can create your own templates, and use them to generate a series such as chapters for a book or thesis.

You will learn about some of Word's power tools which will make your document better organised, such as hierarchical numbering schemes for headings and sub-headings, how to set up your cross-references and how Word can automatically build your tables of contents and indexes.

This course pack is suitable for Mac or Windows users.
